This article contains information on how to book a ride using the RideCo passenger app.
Step 1 - Book a Ride
Navigate to the 'Book a Ride' tab on the app menu. This is the default page when you first log in.
If you have navigated to a different page and need to get back, open up the menu on the left side of your screen and click on 'Book a Ride'.
Step 2 - Enter Information
Now you can enter in all of the information needed to make your booking. This includes 5 main fields:
- The pickup location - where you would like to be picked up. You can enter this by either typing into the search box, or tapping the location on the map and clicking 'Set as pick-up'.
- The drop-off location - where you would like to be dropped off. You can enter this by either typing into the search box, or tapping the location on the map and clicking 'Set as drop-off'.
- The passenger type - here, you can specify what type of seat you will require. This will vary depending on your service, but some examples may be 'General', 'Student', or 'Wheelchair'.
- The departure time - this is the time that you will be ready for pickup. When you click 'Find Rides', multiple options will be given to you, and there will likely be different pickup time slots presented.
- The date - what date this booking is being made for.
Step 3 - Find Rides
Click on 'Find Rides'. You will now be presented with multiple options that you can select for your booking.
Note
If you do not get any options, that could be for multiple reasons. The service may be in too high of demand for the time that you searched, or you may be searching outside of service boundaries or hours. If that is the case, double check your search inputs to ensure that you are making a valid search.
Step 4 - Select your Ride
Select the best ride option for your trip. Of the options you are presented with, you will have different pick-up windows suggested, and, depending on the program, different pick-up or drop-off spots related to your search. Be sure to look at both the pick-up and drop-off spot, the fare, as well as the pick-up window and arrive before time.
Step 5 - Confirm your Ride
Finally, confirm your payment method (when applicable) and select 'Pay' to formally book your ride.
Note
Not all programs have payment options through the app, some still use traditional payment methods via cash or transit card once boarded the vehicle
